Who are we?
Carsten With Thygesen
CEO
Carsten is founder and owner of Cresco Capital Services and has more than 30 years of experience within forestry, real estate and investment. Prior to founding Cresco Capital Services, Carsten was Group Executive Director at Hedeselskabet and CEO of HedeDanmark for more than 18 years. Carsten has 20 years of experience establishing and developing HedeDanmark’s activities in the Baltic countries and several years of experience working with forestry and land assets in the UK.
Colin Mann
Executive Director (UK)
Colin is British and worked for Scottish Woodland Ltd. as CEO from 2005 to 2017, following a period from 1998 to 2005, where he was Investment Director in the company and before that Forest Manager. In total, Colin has a career of 40 years in Scottish Woodland, one of the UK’s leading forest management companies, and has extensive knowledge of British forestry in particular. He also has great knowledge of forestry investment in North America and Europe.
Colin was appointed non-executive director for CONFOR (The Confederation of Forest Industries) from 2008 to 2017 and was the Chairman from 2014 to 2017. From 2006 to 2016, he was Trustee of the Scottish Forestry Trust. He is still periodically appointed by the Scottish Government for various tasks.
Colin is currently the Director of LFI Silva Investments Ltd. (a subsidiary of the Lundbeck Foundation)
Martin Briand Petersen
Investment Director
Martin is Investment Director at Cresco Capital Services. He has been working for HedeDanmark since 2004 before he joined Cresco in August 2019. Martin has more than 18 years of experience in forestry and nature management, investment, business development and communication. For several years he was Head of Forest Certification, Business Developer and responsible for strategic customer relations. Martin has more than 15 years of experience in the Baltics working with forestry investments, forest certification and business development.
Anja Romby Hauge
Head of Finance
Anja is the Head of Finance at Cresco Capital Services. She has studied Business Economics and Auditing at Copenhagen Business School. Anja has been working as an auditor for Deloitte and PwC and has more than 10 years of experience in auditing and consulting industry with focus on financing and investment and has, among other things, work with investment funds and energy companies.
Clara Guttman Belling
Investment Director
Clara is investment manager at Cresco Capital Services. She has studied forestry and natural resource management in both Denmark and Canada and throughout her education she has been working with sustainable forest investments and climate change mitigation. Furthermore, Clara has been working with international forest and nature policy and legislation at the Ministry of Environment and Food of Denmark.
Osvald Bjarup Bruun
Investment manager
Osvald is an Investment Manager at Cresco Capital Services. Osvald holds a Master’s degree in Forest and Nature Management from the University of Copenhagen. He has throughout his Master been working as a Business Analyst at Cresco Capital Services with a focus on the Baltics. Furthermore, Osvald has four years of experience in the Danish private forestry sector, three years as a forest worker, and one year working in a Zealand-based forest management company. He is based at our office in Copenhagen.
Joachim Halfdan Krüger
Investment manager
Joachim is an investment manager at Cresco Capital Services. Joachim holds a Master’s degree in Forest and Nature Management from the University of Copenhagen. He started in Cresco Capital Services as a business analyst during his studies. Joachim has forest management experience from the Danish Nature Agency in central Jutland, and has previously worked with tree seeds in a larger modern tree seed company. He is based at our office in Copenhagen.
