Carsten founded Cresco Capital Services in 2019 and is the CEO of the company. Prior to this, Carsten was the CEO of the largest forest management company in Denmark, during which time the company established activities in the Baltics, where Carsten has been doing business for the last 25 years. He has also been the chairman of the Investment Committee of a large Danish financial institution and is still the chairman of several Danish investment funds. Carsten holds a master’s degree in forestry, a bachelor’s degree in finance, and an Executive MBA.

Colin is British and worked for Scottish Woodland Ltd. as CEO from 2005 to 2017, following a period from 1998 to 2005, where he was Investment Director in the company and before that Forest Manager. In total, Colin has a career of 40 years in Scottish Woodland, one of the UK’s leading forest management companies, and has extensive knowledge of British forestry in particular. He also has great knowledge of forestry investment in North America and Europe.

Colin was appointed non-executive director for CONFOR (The Confederation of Forest Industries) from 2008 to 2017 and was the Chairman from 2014 to 2017. From 2006 to 2016, he was Trustee of the Scottish Forestry Trust. He is still periodically appointed by the Scottish Government for various tasks.

Colin is currently the Director of LFI Silva Investments Ltd. (a subsidiary of the Lundbeck Foundation)

Martin joined Cresco Capital Services in 2019. As Investment Director he has the primary responsibility of the Baltic investment activities, including acquisitions, business development and asset management of forest portfolios. Martin previously worked in Denmark’s largest forest management company and has more than 20 years of experience in forest investments, business development, sustainable forest management and certification as well as strategic customer relations.

Martin holds a B.Sc. in Natural Resource Management, and an M.Sc. in Forestry.

Clara joined Cresco Capital Services in 2020. As Investment Director she has a primary focus on the UK-based investment activities as well as ESG-initiatives across the asset and investment management in Cresco Capital Services.

Clara’s area of expertise includes forest asset valuation, sustainable forest management planning, ESG-regulation and carbon accounting of forests. She holds a B.Sc. in Natural Resource Management, an M.Sc. in Forestry and a Diploma in Financial Planning (HD.FR).

As the Head of Finance at Cresco Capital Services, Anja is responsible for overseeing financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, liquidity management and compliance, for both Cresco Capital Services and the companies under its management. She brings a strong background in accounting, gained from her experience from leading international accounting firms. Anja has previously worked with accounting of investment funds and energy companies. Her academic credentials include a Master’s degree in Business Economics and Accounting from Copenhagen Business School.

Osvald joined Cresco in 2022 as a Business Analyst, primarily focusing on Baltic forest investments and management. In August 2023, he transitioned to a full-time role as an Investment Manager. Osvald is involved in the daily asset and investment management in the Baltics, as well as business development across Northern Europe. His areas of expertise include sustainable silviculture in temperate forests, forest ecology, afforestation, and carbon credit creation, among others.

Osvald has a background in forest management with a Master’s degree in Forest and Nature Management from the University of Copenhagen. Osvald works out of our Copenhagen office.

As an Investment Manager, Joachim is involved in the daily asset and investment management in the UK, as well as business development across Northern Europe. His areas of expertise include sustainable silviculture in temperate forests, forest ecology, and carbon markets.

Joachim has a background in forest management and tree seed production with a Master’s degree in Forest and Nature Management. Joachim works out of our Copenhagen office.

Simon joined Cresco in 2024 as an intern and continued in a role as Business Analyst following his internship. At Cresco, Simon primarily assists Investment manager Osvald Bjarup Bruun with tasks related to forest investments in the Baltics including quarterly reporting, budgeting, and forest management along with afforestation projects and GIS. He is currently studying Forest and Landscape Engineering at the University of Copenhagen, with a strong personal interest in the intersection of forestry and investment. He works out of our Copenhagen office.

Sofia is responsible for maintaining and updating the company’s website, as well as coordinating digital communications, including LinkedIn posts and the company newsletter. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Communication and IT at the University of Copenhagen, combining digital skills with strategic communication. With a growing interest in finance and investment, Sofia plays a key role in communicating Cresco’s activities and values across channels. She works out of our Copenhagen office.

As Business Analyst referring to the Head of Finance, Carl is involved in asset valuations, financial reporting and related strategy work. With a strong personal interest in forestry, Carl manages his family’s forests in Southern Jutland, Denmark, in close collaboration with local foresters. Carl has a background as Sergeant in the Danish Artillery Regiment and as City Councilor in Tønder Municipality. Carl is currently pursuing a BSc in International Business at Copenhagen Business School, with a focus on finance, economics, and strategy. Carl works out of our Copenhagen office.
